The 6-foot-2, 230-pound senior set meet records in both the shot put and discus at the Class 6A state meet this past season, hurling the former 65 feet, seven inches and launching the latter 210-9. Larrison also won both the shot put (67-6) and the discus (210-2) at the Meet of Champions, and his season-best efforts in both events ranked among the nations top five prep performances in 2018 at the time of his selection. He also took third in the discus and fourth in the shot put at this month’s New Balance Nationals Outdoor.
Larrison has maintained a 3.07 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete in track and field on scholarship at the University of Kansas this fall.
Larrison has volunteered locally on behalf of youth track programs.
