The 6-foot-3, 185-pound senior right-handed pitcher and shortstop produced a 10-1 record with a 0.22 earned run average this past season, leading the Cougars (24-6) to the Class 3A West state tournament semifinals. White struck out 101 batters while allowed just 28 hits and 15 walks in 63.2 innings pitched. At the plate, White posted a .333 batting average with 10 doubles, 25 runs scored and a .569 slugging percentage. He concluded his prep baseball career as Carson’s all-time leader in hits, runs, RBI, doubles, wins and strikeouts.
White has maintained a weighted 4.14 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of South Carolina this fall, but is projected as an early-round selection in June’s Major League Baseball draft.
White has volunteered locally with the Special Olympics and he has donated his time to multiple community-service initiatives through his church youth group.
