The 5-foot-8 senior earned All-American honors in the 100-meter high hurdles and 400 low hurdles at Nike Outdoor Nationals this past season. Waldron’s time of 13.50 seconds to take second in the 100 hurdles and her 1:00.46 clocking in the 400 hurdles to finish fifth both ranked No. 12 nationally among girls prep competitors in 2023. Waldon also swept the 100 hurdles and 300-meter low hurdles at the Division 1 state meet, setting a state record of 40.37 in the 300 hurdles, which ranked No. 2 nationally this spring and No. 12 in girls prep history.
The class valedictorian, Waldron has maintained a 4.27 weighted GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on scholarship at the University of Southern California this fall.
A member of her school’s Student Advisory Council, Waldron has volunteered locally with Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. She has also donated her time as a youth coach and mentor for the Motor City Track Club.
