At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound senior right-handed pitcher and third baseman had led the Blue Dukes to a 23-2 regular season, a North Shore Conference title and a bye in the sectional round of Division I state tournament. Voit hit safely in 24 of 25 games and entered the Section 6 postseason with a .562 batting average, five home runs, 37 RBIs and 26 stolen bases. He also went 9-0 on the mound with a 0.49 ERA and struck out 75 batters in 43 innings pitched, recording one no-hitter.
Voit has maintained a 3.33 GPA in the classroom. He has signed his National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of Michigan this fall.
Voit has volunteered locally with the Cahill Cleanup Crew, which helps clear litter and debris from Cahill Park in Whitefish Bay. He also has donated his time to Whitefish Bay youth baseball camps.
