“Hidden behind all the stats is her tenacious defensive effort."On the field Megan is all business. She constantly is looking for ways to break down the opponent's defense. It may mean challenging a defender herself or looking for a teammate making a backside run. She is team-oriented. I feel that Megan making an assist to a teammate is more rewarding than her own goals. Her energy and focus elevates that play of her teammates. She is not a vocal leader; she leads by example. Hidden behind all the stats is her tenacious defensive effort. Megan does a lot of dirty work to put high pressure on the ball in the offensive end of the field. She makes opposing defenders very uncomfortable. Off the field Megan brings the joy and fun that is team athletics. She keeps the team loose in pressure situations. Her infectious smile and laugh keeps her teammates in a great frame of mind. She is a student of the game; always looking to improve her own skills and offering suggestions to others. She is a student in life. She puts a lot of effort into school work. She is family-oriented. The Buckingham's are a close knit group and support each other in all of their endeavors. Megan is a great role model to show that hard work has it rewards. The sky is the limit for Megan's future in soccer and in life. Her hard work and dedication put her on this path of excellence.”
