The 6-foot, 150-pound senior forward scored 46 goals and passed for 30 assists this past season, leading the Blue Dukes (25-0) to the Division 2 state championship. Named state Player of the Year by the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association, Comiskey was also selected as National Player of the Year by United Soccer Coaches.
Comiskey has maintained a 3.76 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer on scholarship at the University of Wisconsin this fall.
A tutor for younger students, Comiskey has volunteered locally on behalf of Silver Spring Neighborhood Center helping the residents of Westlawn, Wisconsin’s largest public housing development, become self-sufficient, contributing members of society. “Matt Comiskey was the engine that drove a really special Whitefish Bay team,” said Mark Schill, head coach at Nicolet High. “He scored, he was a playmaker and he really just made the team around him better.”
