The 6-foot-3, 190-pound senior shortstop led the Wildcats to a 14-3 record and the Metro League championship this past season. Guerra posted a .592 batting average with six home runs and 20 RBI while compiling a jaw-dropping OBP of .701. The state’s No. 1 draft prospect as ranked by Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report, he also scored 28 runs and produced an OPS of 1.824.
Guerra has maintained a 3.59 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at Oregon State University this fall.
An active member of his church youth group, Guerra has volunteered locally with a middle school literacy-outreach program and he has donated his time as a youth baseball coach.
