The 6-foot-11, 220-pound junior guard, forward and center averaged 24.9 points and 10 rebounds per game while shooting 66 percent from the floor this past season, leading the Trailblazers (27-3) to the first round of the CIF Open Division state tournament. Ranked as the nation's No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2018 by ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports, Bagley scored a tournament-record 43 points at the Nike Extravaganza in a 98-72 win over Bishop Gorman (Nev.).
Bagley has maintained a 3.43 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Bagley has volunteered locally on behalf of Hoops With Heart, a Los Angeles-area non-profit organization which benefits underprivileged youths and student-athletes. "Marvin Bagley is a uniquely gifted athlete who can excel from any position on the floor," said Sierra Canyon head coach Tyrone Nichols. "His desire to win and his competitive spirit separate him from his peers. He's an incredible young man off the court and will continue to shine brightly in the future."
