The 6-foot-0, 160-pound senior holding midfielder led the Wildcats to a 16-4-2 record and a third straight Division I state championship this past season. McLaughlin scored 12 goals and passed for 10 assists, anchoring a back line that posted 14 clean sheets on the year. Also Ohio’s Mr. Soccer honoree, he was a 2024 United Soccer Coaches All-American selection.
McLaughlin has maintained a weighted 4.04 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play soccer at Ohio State University this fall.
McLaughlin has volunteered locally with the West Side Catholic Center, an organization that provides food, clothing, shelter and support to those in need. He has also donated his time as a youth soccer coach.
