The 6-foot-3, 215-pound senior right-handed pitcher and first baseman led the Bulldogs (25-6) to the 6A state championship game this past season. Brissey posted a record of 7-0 on the mound with a 1.01 ERA and 80 strikeouts in 48 innings pitched. He also hit .375 with 28 RBI and three home runs, including a three-run shot in the 6A state semifinals.
Brissey has maintained a 3.91 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play baseball at the University of Arkansas this fall.
Brissey has volunteered locally with the EAST (Education Accelerated by Service and Technology) Initiative, helping produce a breast cancer awareness video through White River Medical Center and also redesigning the First United Methodist Church website, among other projects. He has also donated his time to mentoring a group of seventh and eighth graders through his church youth group.
