Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound junior catcher batted .535 with seven home runs, 55 RBI and 46 runs scored, leading the Lions to a 20-4 record and first place in the Metropolitan Conference this past season. The nation’s No. 7 draft prospect in the Class of 2022 as ranked by PrepBaseballReport, and the 2021 Sacramento Bee Baseball Player of the Year, he collected 28 extra-base hits, compiled a .630 on-base percentage and produced a 1.855 OPS.

Academic Achievement

Moore has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom and represents one of the state’s top academic candidates in meeting the Gatorade award’s broad criteria. He has made a verbal commitment to play baseball on scholarship at Stanford University beginning in the fall of 2022.

Exemplary Character

Moore has volunteered locally on behalf of multiple school fundraisers and as a youth baseball coach.
