“Malakai powers their potent run game. It’s not often that you really have to scheme around the ability of an offensive lineman, but with him, you do. He is their most valuable offensive player.”

Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-7, 330-pound senior offensive tackle anchored the Warriors’ offensive line en route to the 2025 Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) league championship, as well as a berth in the Division I state championship. Lee spearheaded a 31-10 win over Kapolei in the state semifinals, creating a clean pocket for Kamehameha (5-4) that allowed an  87-percent completion rate for 245 yards and three touchdowns. A two-time Polynesian Bowl invitee, Lee ranks as the nation’s No. 128 recruit in the Class of 2025 as rated by Rivals/On3 and No. 188 by 247Sports. Lee will play in the 2026 U.S. Navy All-American Bowl in January. His uncle, Chris Fuamatu Maafala, is a former NFL fullback for the Steelers and Jaguars.
