The 5-foot-11 junior right-handed pitcher and shortstop had led the Huskies to a 20-0 record and a berth in the Class 1A state semifinals at the time of her selection. Knight compiled a 12-0 mark in the circle with a 0.59 earned run average through 20 games. She had allowed just 17 hits and amassed 103 strikeouts in 59 innings pitched. Ranked as the nation’s No. 23 recruit in the Class of 2022 by Extra Inning Softball, she posted a .591 batting average at the plate entering the semis with 11 home runs, 33 runs scored, 45 runs batted in and a 1.288 slugging percentage.
Knight has maintained a weighted 3.89 GPA in the classroom. She has made a verbal commitment to play softball on scholarship at Syracuse University beginning in the fall of 2022.
A member of her school’s student government, Knight has volunteered locally as a math tutor and as a youth softball coach.
