The 5-foot-7 senior right-handed pitcher and center fielder compiled a 19-4 record with a 1.25 earned run average this past season, leading the Patriots (28-7) to a third-place finish at the Class A state tournament. Zander struck out 204 batters while allowing 72 hits in 134 innings pitched. The Western Dakota Association Senior Athlete of the Year, Zander is a four-time First Team All-State selection. She also posted a .504 batting average with 47 runs scored, 47 runs batted in, 12 home runs and a .941 slugging percentage in 2021.
Zander has maintained a weighted 4.05 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball on scholarship at the University of Jamestown this fall.
A member of her school’s student council, Zander has volunteered locally as a youth pitching coach, and she has donated her time to multiple community service initiatives through her church youth group.
