The 5-foot-11 junior wing averaged 20.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this past season while leading the Falcons (32-4) to the Class 2A state championship. Named 2A Miss Basketball, Phifer recorded 25 points, 14 rebounds and eight blocks in the state final. With more than 2,500 points in her prep career, she is already the leading scorer in program history.
Phifer has maintained a 4.04 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
A member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Phifer has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics and has donated her time gathering Christmas gifts for patients at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She also has participated in the Ingomar food drive.
