The 5-foot-10, 140-pound senior won the Class A state meet this past season with a time of 15:26.51, breaking the tape 21.21 seconds ahead of his next-closest competitor and leading the Rangers to the team title. Rupert won six of eight races on the season and was the state’s top finisher at the Nike Cross Heartland Regional Championships, taking 39th with a time of 15:29.4.
Rupert has maintained a weighted 4.31 GPA in the classroom. He remains undecided upon a collegiate destination.
A member of the Hill City Fire Department, Rupert has volunteered locally as a mathematics tutor and as a Sunday School teacher at his church.
