The 6-foot-1, 175-pound junior left-handed pitcher and first baseman led the Vikings to a 23-0 record and the Class 4A quarterfinals, scheduled for May 24. At the time of his selection, Heimlich owned a 9-0 record with a 0.57 ERA and 93 strikeouts against
