NXR Heartland Regional Championships
“Logan Seger raced to a top-three finish at NXR Heartland on the heels winning an individual state title and leading the Saints to the 5A team crown. He was the top runner from Kansas at the Chile Pepper XC Festival Caliente race and the Rim Rock Farm Classic Gold race. He’ll bring a new 5K personal-best of 15:05.80 to the Boilermakers this fall.”

Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-10, 140-pound senior distance talent broke the tape at the Kansas State HS 5A State Championships this past season, clocking a 15:39.20 for 5K and leading the Saints to the state team title. Seger took third at the NXR Heartland Regional Championships in 15:10.10 and also won the Eastern Kansas League crown. Ranked No. 99 in the national Dyestat Top 100 in 2021, he also earned 5A All-State and MileSplit Kansas All-Class Team honors. Seger’s runner-up showing at the Olathe Twilight Invitational, where he sustained his only loss of the season to an in-state competitor, produced a personal-best 15:05.80. He clocked six times under 15:30 on the season.

Academic Achievement

Seger has maintained a 101.65 average in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to run on scholarship at Purdue University this fall.

Exemplary Character

An active participant in his school’s Asian Culture Club and a member of the national Honor Society, Seger has donated his time to assisting at college fairs and by delivering holiday gifts to families in need. Also a member of STA’s invite-only Senior Ambassadors, he gives campus tours and makes informational presentations to prospective students and their families. He has volunteered locally on behalf of Jerusalem Farm Kansas City, which strives to transform the lives of communities through service retreats, sustainable living and home repairs. His primary service to others takes place through TurnStyles Thrift, where he assists the needy.
