The 5-foot-7, 120-pound sophomore raced to victory at the NIAA Class 5A state meet this past season with a time of 16:07.9, pacing the Crusaders to third place as a team. Unbeaten against in-state competition last fall, Scott also finished an impressive 13th at the Woodbridge Classic in California. He closed out his 2022 campaign as the state’s fastest performer at the National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships in Texas, where he finished second overall with a personal-best clocking of 15:50.3.
Scott has maintained a weighted 3.40 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his junior year of high school this fall.
Scott has volunteered locally on behalf of multiple community service initiatives in association with his church.
