The state’s 2018-19 and 2019-20 Gatorade Player of the Year, the 5-foot-10 senior right-handed pitcher and infielder led the Demons to a 19-8 record and the Class A state championship this past season. Gronberg compiled a 12-1 mark in the circle with a 1.27 earned run average, striking out 80 batters while walking just seven in 77 innings pitched. At the plate, she batted .621 with 49 RBI, a .714 on-base percentage and a 1.017 slugging percentage. She was 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and was the winning pitcher in Bismarck’s 7-6 victory over Dickinson High in the state championship game.
Gronberg has maintained a 3.98 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball on scholarship at the University of North Dakota this fall.
Gronberg has volunteered locally at Heaven’s Helpers Soup Kitchen and as a youth softball coach and umpire.
