The 5-foot-10 freshman right-handed pitcher and corner infielder had led the Demons to a 26-3 record and a berth in the Class A state quarterfinals at the time of her selection. Gronberg batted .670 with 15 home runs, 67 RBI and 38 runs scored along with a 1.289 slugging percentage through 29 games. A First Team All-State selection as an eighth-grader, she owned a 12-2 record in the circle with 101 strikeouts in 82.2 innings pitched.
Gronberg has maintained a 3.89 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her sophomore year of high school this fall.
Gronberg has volunteered locally at Papa’s Pumpkin Patch and as a youth softball coach.
