The 5-foot-10, 160-pound junior forward led the Indians to a 16-3 record and a trip to the 4A state championship game. Custis led the state in scoring with a school-record 29 goals and also passed for six assists. He scored almost a third of his goals (nine) in the postseason, earning First-Team All-State honors in the process.
Custis has maintained a 3.2 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Custis has volunteered locally at a senior center by assisting the elderly with computers, phones and other tech issues. He also has donated his time to the Friday Food Bag Foundation, packing food donations for needy children in the Cheyenne community.
