“Lauren Hurst was dominant in our sectional match and absolutely everywhere on the floor. She would hit outside in one rotation and at middle the next. Then she would go back row and play excellent defense and still put the ball away with aggressive attacks. I was really impressed with her ability to see the court and execute.”

Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-2 sophomore outside hitter led the Blue Raiders to a 49-5 record and the Division I, Class AAA state championship this past season. Hurst amassed 647 kills and 354 digs, including 19 kills in Cleveland’s 3-0 win over Collierville High in the state final. A 2022 MaxPreps.com Second Team All-American selection, she also recorded 94 service aces, 73 assists and 61 blocks, posting a .438 kill percentage on the attack.

Hurst has maintained a 3.75 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her junior year of high school this fall.

Hurst has volunteered locally as a youth volleyball coach, and she has donated her time to multiple community service initiatives through her church.
