The 6-foot-4 senior middle blocker led the Bulldogs (21-0) to the Division I state championship this past season. She recorded 259 kills on the strength of an .814 kill percentage along with 112 blocks. McCarthy set the New Hampshire career record for blocks (341) and was part of four state championship teams. A four-time All-State selection, she led Bedford to an 80-0 record throughout her career.
McCarthy has maintained a 3.9 weighted GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on scholarship at Purdue University this fall.
A member of the National Art Honor Society, McCarthy has volunteered locally on behalf of Girls Inc., a non-profit that helps girls of all ages lead a healthy and active lifestyle. She is also a talented basketball player with more than a dozen scholarship offers.
