The 5-foot-11, 175-pound senior sprinter won the 100- and 200-meter dash events while anchoring the winning 4x100-meter relay quartet at the Class 5A state meet this past season, leading the Hornets to a fifth place as a team. In the preliminary rounds of the 100 at the state meet, Brown broke the tape in a state-record 10.12 seconds. His season-best, wind-legal 100 time of 10.20 seconds at the Jenks Trojan Varsity Invitational ranked No. 9 nationally among boys prep competitors this spring while his personal-best 200 clocking of 21.06 ranked No. 57 nationally at the time of his selection. He capped his spring season by earning All-American honors in the 100 at Nike Outdoor Nationals via a fourth-place finish.
Brown has maintained a 3.62 weighted GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to compete at Ohio State University this fall.
A member of the Booker T. Washington High Chinese Club, Brown has volunteered locally as part of multiple community service initiatives through his school’s Hornets for Christ Organization.
