The 5-foot-7 senior won the 800-meter run at the New England Outdoor Championships this past season with a time of 2:06.90, which ranked as the nation's No. 4 performance among prep competitors in 2017 at the time of her selection. Schoffield also won the 800 at the state Meet of Champions in 2:09.30 and finished first in the 400 at the Division II championships in 57.91. She took second in the 800 at this month's Brooks PR Invitational.
Schoffield has maintained a 3.43 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on an athletic scholarship at Boise State University this fall.
A member of the National Art Honor Society, Schoffield has volunteered with Locks of Love. "Kristie is an extremely self-motivated individual," said Merrimack Valley coach David Irving. "She has excelled at both track and cross country through a single-minded focus on becoming the best that she can be. She's also been a tremendous leader."
