The 5-foot-9 sophomore won the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and ran the anchor leg on the winning 4x200-meter relay team at the Class AA state meet this past season, leading the Lynx to a second-place finish as a team. Bickley set the state record in the 400 as a freshman in 2016 with a clocking of 54.08 seconds and she was a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that set a state record at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays 2017. She was undefeated in the 200 and 400 this spring.
Bickley has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her junior year of high school this fall.
Bickley has volunteered as a youth track and basketball coach, and she has donated her time as part of multiple community-service initiatives through her church youth group. "Krista is that rare athlete that comes along once or twice in a coach's career," said Troy Sturgeon, head coach of Brandon Valley High. "She is the consummate team player and always puts the team and her teammates first."
