The 5-foot-7 sophomore right-handed pitcher posted a 5-1 record with a 2.03 ERA this spring, striking out 43 while walking just four batters in 31 innings before the remainder of the season was cancelled. Dark also batted .524 with two home runs and eight RBI. The Class 3A West Pitcher of the Year as a freshman, she ranks as the nation’s No. 24 prospect in the Class of 2022 by Softball America. Dark led the Eagles (25-3) to the Class 3A state title in 2019, recording a 19-2 record with a 0.92 ERA and 289 strikeouts, while hitting .435 at the plate with 10 home runs and 30 RBI.
Dark has maintained a 3.82 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her junior year of high school this fall.
Dark has volunteered locally on behalf of her church’s youth ministry and children’s softball programs.
