The 5-foot-2 senior won the Class 4 state meet this past season, breaking the tape in 18:29.30. Norris was also the state’s top prep girls finisher at the Rim Rock Farm Classic, where she took sixth, and the Nike XC Town Invitational, where she crossed the line 17th with a personal-best time of 17:35.78. Norris broke 18 minutes three times last fall.
Norris has maintained a weighted 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a written letter of athletic aid to run at the University of Alabama this fall.
A member of the Student Council, the Key Club and DECA at her school, Norris recently completed a Marketing Internship with the Brickhouse Coffee Shop. She has volunteered locally as part of multiple community service initiatives in association with the National Honor Society.
