The 5-foot-2 senior took 14th place at the Nike Cross Northwest Regional Championships with a time of 18:57.5. A two-time Maui News Cross Country Runner of the Year, Volner also took second at the state meet, leading the Spartans to a third-place finish in the Division 2 competition as a team. She won five of the seven races she entered, winning the Maui Interscholastic League Championship by nearly two minutes as Seabury won its 15th straight league title.
Volner has maintained a weighted 3.93 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to run on scholarship at Santa Clara University this fall.
The secretary of the Seabury Hall student council, Volner has volunteered locally at the Maui Food Bank and as a youth running coach.
