At the time of her selection, the 5-foot-7 sophomore right-handed pitcher had led the Galloping Ghosts to a 27-0 record, 78 consecutive wins and a berth in the Division 1 state quarterfinals, scheduled for June 8. Meredith compiled a 23-0 record in the circle with a 0.33 earned run average through 27 games. Entering the postseason round of eight, she’d struck out 239 batters while allowing just 41 hits in 127.1 innings. At the plate, she batted .527 with five home runs, 44 doubles and a 1.000 slugging percentage.
Meredith has maintained a 3.96 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her junior year of high school this fall.
Meredith has volunteered locally as a youth softball pitching coach, and she has donated her time to multiple community service initiatives through her church.
