Also the 2014-15 Gatorade State Player of the Year, the 5-foot-5 senior midfielder scored 18 goals and passed for 13 assists this past season, leading the Raptors (9-3-2) to the District 11-AAA tournament quarterfinals. Paschall missed a pair of games this season while playing for the U.S. Soccer Under-18 Women's National Team, including the Raptors' postseason loss to a team they had beaten 7-0 with Paschall in the lineup earlier in the year. Paschall has maintained a weighted 4.21 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play soccer on scholarship at Duke University beginning this fall.
Paschall has volunteered locally with special-needs children and as a youth soccer coach and trainer. She has also donated her time as part of multiple community-service initiatives through her church youth group. "Karlie Paschall is the best high school girls player I have ever seen," said Kacie Beirnes, head coach of Summit High. "The impact she made on the field was unrivaled-she made each of her teammates better."
