The 5-foot-9 senior shortstop and catcher’s 29 home runs set a new state single-season record this spring, eclipsing the mark of 26 set in 2018. Heivilin also led the Wildcats to a 22-17 record and a berth in the Division 2 regional semifinals. She compiled a .600 batting average with 88 runs scored, 71 runs batted in, 35 walks, a .684 on-base percentage and a 2.186 OPS. Keivilin was named the Detroit Athletic Club Athlete of the Year and is a two-time First Team All-State selection.
Heivilin has maintained a 4.13 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball on scholarship at the University of Alabama this fall.
A member of the National Honor Society, Heivilin has volunteered locally as part of multiple food drives to benefit a homeless shelter, and she has donated her time as a youth softball, basketball and volleyball coach.
