The 5-foot-3 senior won two individual events and ran on two winning relays at the Division 1 state meet this past season, leading the Phoenix to the state championship as a team. Jackson broke the tape in the 100-meter dash in 11.64 seconds and took the 200 in 23.51, while running the lead leg on the victorious 4x200 relay and the second leg on the 4x100 relay. The Detroit Athletic Club’s Michigan Female Athlete of the Year, she took fourth in both the 100 and the 200 at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor, earning All-American status in each event.
Jackson has maintained a 3.92 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on an athletic scholarship at the University of Georgia this fall.
Jackson has served as tutor for elementary and middle school students and has volunteered locally on behalf of a food bank, toy drives, a vacation bible school and charity road races.
