The 5-foot-6 senior field events specialist took fifth in the triple jump at the New Balance Nationals to earn All-American honors this past season. Powe’s season-best effort of 42 feet, 1 inch at the Centennial League Championship ranked No. 5 nationally among prep girls competitors this spring. Powe won the triple jump and the 100-meter hurdles at the Class 5A state meet and added a second-place showing in the long jump. She also leaped a state-leading 20 feet in the long jump at the On Ye Bruins Relays, which ranked tied for No. 18 nationally.
Powe has maintained a 4.31 weighted GPA in the classroom. She has signed a written letter of athletic aid to compete at the University of Central Florida this fall.
An active member of the Big Brother/Big Sister program in her community, Powe has volunteered locally with the Colorado Community Church Marketplace Foodbank collection, which helps fight hunger. She has also donated her time to multiple community service initiatives through her church congregation.
