The 6-foot-6, 170-pound senior guard led the Stags to an 11-0 record this past season. Hawkins averaged 19.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.9 blocks per game while connecting on 63.6 percent of his field-goal attempts and 46.4 percent of his 3-point shots. A two-time Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention selection, he is ranked as the nation’s No. 59 recruit in the Class of 2021 by ESPN.com.
Hawkins has maintained a B average in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Connecticut this fall.
Hawkins has volunteered locally as part of food drives to benefit the needy during the pandemic, and he has donated his time to multiple community service initiatives through his school.
