The 6-foot-2, 248-pound junior hurled the shot put 74 feet, 3.5 inches at the Class AAA state meet this past season to shatter the state record. Geist also won the discus with a throw of 183 feet, and his season-best effort of 74-4.5 in the shot put ranke

Academic Achievement

Geist has maintained a 3.59 GPA in the classroom.
