The 5-foot-8 senior third baseman and catcher led the Ramblers to a 35-1 record and the Class 3A state championship this past season. Mitchell batted .717 with 55 RBI and a state single-season record 85 runs scored—breaking her own mark from a year ago. She clubbed 38 extra-base hits, including 13 home runs, swiped 34 bases, drew 33 walks and compiled a .786 on-base percentage as well as a 1.386 slugging percentage. The 2018 MaxPreps National Junior Player of the Year, she concluded her prep softball career with a .622 batting average, 58 home runs, 281 runs scored and 197 RBI.
Mitchell has maintained a weighted 4.05 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play softball on scholarship at the University of Notre Dame this fall.
The vice president of the Rose Bud High senior class and editor of the school yearbook, Mitchell has volunteered locally as a youth softball coach.
