The 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior quarterback and safety led the Bulldogs to a 10-1 record and the Division I state championship this past season. McCoy passed for 3,086 yards and 42 touchdowns, adding 844 yards and 14 scores on the ground. He threw 16 TD passes in three postseason games as BBA won the DI state title in its first season playing in the state’s highest classification. McCoy, who was a First-Team All-State pick on offense and defense, racked up 100 tackles and recorded four interceptions.
McCoy has maintained a weighted 4.74 GPA in the classroom. He remains undecided upon a collegiate destination.
McCoy launched Burr & Burton’s Unified Partners program, supporting athletes with intellectual challenges, and serves as a coach for BBA’s Unified basketball team. He has volunteered locally as part of a fundraising campaign to benefit cancer research, and has donated his time at a homeless shelter and food bank.
