The 6-foot-3, 165-pound senior won his third straight NJSIAA Non-Public A individual championship this past season with an all-class best time of 15:35.0, breaking the tape 19 seconds ahead of his next-closest competitor and leading the Colts to their third consecutive team championship. Also the the NXN Northeast Regional champion, Barrett was undefeated against in-state competition in 2024. He clocked a 5K personal-best time of 14:36.0 last fall in winning the Shore County Championships.
Barrett has maintained an A-minus average in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to run at the University of North Carolina this fall.
A talented artist who sketches and designs clothing, Barrett has volunteered locally at the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen, which serves customers in need as part of its business model. He has also donated his time assisting in various capacities at St. Michael’s Church.
