The 5-foot-10 junior right-handed pitcher and first baseman led the Roughriders (13-11) to within one win of a berth in the Class A state tournament this past season. Berg batted .600 with 39 RBI and five home runs, posting a .662 on-base percentage and 1.073 slugging percentage. The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, she also compiled a 7-2 record in the circle with a 1.48 ERA and 190 strikeouts in 99.1 innings, averaging 1.9 strikeouts per frame.
Berg has maintained a 4.31 weighted GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
A member of the Red River High chapter of the National Honor Society, Berg has volunteered locally as a peer tutor. She has also donated her time to multiple youth sports coaching roles.
