The 6-foot-2, 215-pound senior safety led the Panthers to an 8-1 record and the No. 2 ranking in the MaxPreps National Top 25 this past season. Edwards amassed 167 tackles and recorded six interceptions, returning two for touchdowns, as he anchored a defense that allowed just 8.4 points per game. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 23 recruit in the Class of 2026 by ESPN.com.
Edwards has maintained a B average in the classroom. At the time of his selection, he had made a verbal commitment to receive athletic aid to play football at the University of Alabama next fall.
Edwards has volunteered locally as a youth football coach.
