The 5-foot-7 junior guard led the Bulldogs to a 25-1 record and the Class 4A state championship this past season. Carrothers averaged 23.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 3.9 assists, and compiled 25 points, seven rebounds and five steals in the Bulldogs’ 44-34 win over Brownsburg High in the state title game. Carrothers is a three-time Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Underclass Supreme 15 First Team All-State selection and a two-time NWI Times MVP. She concluded her junior year with 1,751 points in her prep basketball career.
Carrothers has maintained a weighted 3.74 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
Carrothers has volunteered locally with Crown Point’s Best Buddies program and Key Club. She has also donated her time to the Lake County Animal Shelter and as a youth basketball coach.
