Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-11, 235-pound senior topped the rest of the state by nearly 29 feet this past season, launching the discus 190 feet, 1 inch, which ranked as the nation’s No. 17 prep performance in 2021. Swett qualified for the National Scholastic Athletic Foundation Outdoor Nationals, where he took 10th with a throw of 177-8.

Academic Achievement

Swett has maintained an A average in the classroom. He will attend Harvard University this fall, where he will compete in track and field.

Exemplary Character

Swett formed the Black Sock Foundation, which seeks to spread awareness of May-Thurner Syndrome, a rare blood-clotting disorder that he suffers from. During the pandemic, he organized a spare-change fundraiser that ultimately purchased thousands of dollars of food for the St. Vincent Food Bank.
