The 5-foot-11 junior outside hitter led the Jaguars to a 19-0 record and their third straight Class 4A state championship this past season. The state’s returning Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year, Moore recorded 308 kills, 200 digs and 29 blocks. A three-time Washington Post All-Met First Team selection and the Montgomery County Player of the Year, she was named to the national ALL-USA Third Team.
Moore has maintained a 3.97 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
A devoted member of her church community, Moore has volunteered locally on behalf of the Salvation Army and youth volleyball programs. “Jenaisya Moore is a special player in every aspect of the game,” said Stacey Krebs, head coach at Rockville High. “She has one of the most powerful swings in the area, and she combines that with smart hitting tendencies. The most impressive part of her game is her defensive ability. She makes it look easy by always being in the right spot.”
