The 6-foot senior guard had led the River Hawks to a 21-0 record and a berth in the Class A state championship game at the time of her selection. Christopher averaged 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 3.5 steals per game, while committing just 23 turnovers all season. She concludes her career as Skowhegan’s career scoring leader (boys and girls), having broken the school’s previous mark of 1,433 on February 8.
Christopher has maintained an A average in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at Boston University this fall.
The Skowhegan High senior class president, Christopher has volunteered locally as a caddie for Special Olympics golf tournaments and as an assistant coach for a girls travel basketball team. She has also donated her time as a Thanksgiving Day server at her community center and as a Unified Basketball player assistant, supporting intellectually challenged players.
