The 5-foot-8, 158-pound senior midfielder led the Lynx to an 18-0-1 record and the Division I state championship this past season. Mateaki scored 14 goals and passed for 16 assists, setting up the lone tally in Dimond’s 1-0 win over West Valley High in the state final. A three-time Cook Inlet Conference First Team selection, he is the brother of Mai Mateaki, the 2023-24 Gatorade Alaska Girls Soccer Player of the Year.
Mateaki has maintained a weighted 3.44 GPA in the classroom. He remains undecided upon a collegiate destination.
Mateaki has volunteered locally as a youth soccer coach, and he has donated his time to multiple community service initiatives through his church congregation.
