The 6-foot-7, 195-pound senior guard/forward led the Gaels to a 29-4 season, capping it off with the program’s seventh consecutive state title. In pacing the Class 4A Nevada state champions, Bey scored 22.1 points a game to go with averages of 8.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 steals. A three-year starter and a 2018 ESPN 100 recruit, Bey was a unanimous choice for Sunset Southwest League MVP this year.
Bey has maintained a B average in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Washington this fall.
In addition to spending time with the elderly at the Atria Seville Senior Living Center, Bey volunteers locally at elementary schools where he reads to students, runs intramural programs and tutors at-risk pupils. He also donates his time as a youth basketball coach.
