The 6-foot-3, 175-pound senior defensive center midfielder led the Warriors to a 23-0 record and the Division 2 Eastern Massachusetts tournament title this past season. LaBranche scored 10 goals and passed for 15 assists, serving as an integral part of a defense that allowed just one goal all season. A two-time All-State honoree and a two-time Atlantic Coast League Player of the Year, he was also an All-American selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
LaBranche has maintained a weighted 4.36 GPA in the classroom. He has made a verbal commitment to attend Middlebury College, where he will play soccer, beginning this fall.
An employee at a pizza restaurant in Eastham, LaBranche has volunteered locally as a youth soccer coach. "Jake posed so many problems for opposing defenses," said Evan Botting, head coach of Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High. "The combination of physical traits, mental awareness and skill that Jake has makes him truly special."
