The 5-foot-7, 135-pound junior forward led the Chiefs to a 22-1 record and the Class AAAAA state championship this past season. Donaldson scored 36 goals and passed for 17 assists and compiled 13 multi-goal games. He tallied eight goals and six assists in McIntosh's five-game postseason run to the state title including both assists in McIntosh's 2-1 overtime win over Clarkston High in the championship game.
Donaldson has maintained an A average in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
The starting kicker on the McIntosh football team, Donaldson has volunteered locally on a fundraising campaign to benefit muscular dystrophy research and as a youth soccer and football coach. "Jake was very good for them and presented many problems for the teams facing him," said Mike Hanie, head coach of Starr's Mill High. "He was very good at taking players on and getting behind the defense and scoring goals."
